J.B. Jackson

I picked up Landscape in Site Looking at America Edited by Helen L. Horowitz for my plane ride home from Washington. It is a collection of essays by J.B. Jackson. I'm not sure that I buy all of his notions wholesale, but what great stimulus for the mind. Because J.B. Jackson has a special connection with the Southwest, many of his observations relate to Oklahoma.

I am putting Figure in a Landscape: A Conversation with J.B. Jackson (DVD) on my wish list. Books read much better when you can hear the voice of the writer. You pick up subtle inflections that might normally be missed.
